82° TECH is focused on the specific needs and interests of professionals involved in launching and operating technology-related companies in Sarasota and Manatee counties. 82° TECH works to increase public awareness of the growing technology community in the two-county area; improve the business climate for technology companies by developing critical resources; and facilitate educational and networking opportunities for the area’s technology companies.

Our culture is about building on our strengths and increasing our area’s economy through shared effort. It’s this feeling of community and shared vision that makes our organization, and our area, such an exciting place to live, work and play. 82° TECH strives to bring real-world information and valuable technology tools to the Sarasota/Manatee business and technology community by working to grow partnership opportunities and connect businesses and individuals. The feeling that the whole is greater than the sum of its parts is shared by the Board of Directors and organization members alike.

Citrus IT Alliance
The mission of the Citrus IT Alliance is to attract, grow, and retain information technology and related businesses and IT employees. The Citrus IT Alliance involves and utilizes community partners by providing IT training, expanding IT capacity in existing businesses, anticipating new IT infrastructure needs, enhancing IT capability and resources to attract companies and workers, and promoting its proximity to major universities, quality of life, and affordable cost of living.

CreativeTampaBay
CreativeTampaBay was formed in the fall of 2003 to serve as a catalyst for economic and social development in the region by promoting principles of the creative economy and developing creative industry. It believes that business, economic development, arts, culture, social and environmental principles must work together to create vibrant, sustainable communities.

EDC of Sarasota County
The mission of the EDC of Sarasota County is to grow, diversify and sustain the economy of Sarasota County while enhancing its unique natural and cultural environment. The vision of the EDC is to be the organization that is the catalyst for creating a vibrant economy that is sustainable and competitive globally.

Florida High Tech Corridor
Florida High Tech Corridor was established by the Legislature in 1996 to attract, retain and grow high tech industry and to help develop the workforce to support those industries in the 21-county service areas of the University of Central Florida (UCF) and the University of South Florida (USF). In January 2005, the Council welcomed the University of Florida (UF) as a full partner of this unique economic development initiative, merging the strengths of three world-class universities and bringing the number of Corridor counties to 23.

Florida Venture Forum
The goal of the Florida Venture Forum is to help ensure the success of entrepreneurial ventures by offering expert counsel, educational advice and managerial assistance. The Florida Venture Forum provides programs on a statewide basis attended by venture capitalists, investors, bankers, corporate executives, accountants, lawyers and entrepreneurs.

Hernando County Office of Business Development
The Hernando County Office of Business Development is your resource for site location assistance, site development information, workforce information and demographics research. Hernando County, located at the geographic center of Florida is the “Business Gateway to Tampa Bay” and provides a lucrative, thriving economy for business.

Lakeland Economic Development Council
The Lakeland EDC works to attract and retain businesses to the city of Lakeland by assisting businesses with locating office space and real estate. Lakeland is in Central Florida, which is a strategic location in terms of both geography and market growth.

Manatee EDC
Manatee EDC is the only organization in Manatee County responsible for attracting and retaining "value-added" business within the community. Through a collaborative effort between "value-added" business, education, and workforce-related agencies, the EDC is able to promote linkages of resources and implementation of innovative workforce programs designed to help local employers maintain a viable, skilled workforce.

Pasco Economic Development Council
The Pasco Economic Development Council (PEDC) was created in 1987 to foster the economic vitality and business development opportunities of Pasco County, Florida.  The PEDC is committed to positive growth to make Pasco County a great place to live and work. You won't find a more supportive county in which to do business.

Pinellas County EDC
Pinellas County Economic Development works with existing businesses to encourage expansion and seeks to attract new companies with high-wage careers to Central Florida's Gulf Coast. Through investment tools, professional courses and business counseling sessions, trade missions to open new markets, as well as local, regional and statewide partnerships, PCED fosters a pro-business climate in Pinellas County, Florida.

STAR Technology Enterprise Center
Located on the central west coast of Florida, the STAR Technology Enterprise Center (STAR TEC) is the Tampa Bay area's first technology and manufacturing business accelerator. Housed within the Young-Rainey Science, Technology, and Research Center, a former Department of Energy facility, STAR TEC supports the growth of early stage manufacturing and technology-based companies, enabling them to migrate their product/service to market more rapidly and effectively.
 
Tampa Bay Partnership
Tampa Bay Partnership is the regional organization that works with its partners to market the region nationally and internationally, to conduct regional research and to coordinate efforts to influence business and government issues that impact economic growth and development.
